Twitter’s Jack Dorsey is an honourable man.
He allows you to tweet falsehoods. Actually rock-bottom lies.
Like allowing tweets with the hashtag, ModiPlanningFarmerGenocide.
No, there was no genocide.
If you don’t believe the Indian media, check out the very honest Western media, the Washington Post, Guardian, Wall Street Journal, or the New York Times.
Or still better, check Twitter.
Even better, why not check with Rahul Gandhi?
There’s no word on any actual genocide. Thank god for small mercies.
So there WAS no genocide, even after Twitter peddled the lie.
But Dorsey is a honourable man.
That’s because Twitter apparently saw this ghastly gonna happen genocide hashtag thing as “news-worthy”, “critical to news” and “free speech”.
So according to the Twitter School of Thought, lying about a supposedly imminent genocide is what a billion people are dying to know. Before you-know-who declares them dead.
By Twitter’s standards, it is not only a very honourable thing to do, but its duty to mankind.
By the way, when a genocide that is ignited, expected, and awaited with excited tweets, does NOT happen, is it not “news-worthy”, “critical to speech”, and “free speech”
And does that not call for an apology?
Just asking.
No, it does not call for an apology, Not at all. Because what was expected and awaited, and did not happen as anticipated was in fascist India. And not in peaceful havens like Afghanistan, Pakistan, or hey, China.
If the same were to have been expected, awaited and did NOT happen as anticipated, in say, peace-loving Iran, or heaven forbid, great global friend, China, then of course, Twitter would have apologised, with a bent knee, as an emoji.
Maybe even then they wouldn’t have. For before that, blood would have been spilled. And there would have been a trailer of a genocide — but only at a place where all this er…expectation and anticipation came from.
But of course, Dorsey is an honourable man.
Unlike us stupids, he knows Lies ARE free speech.
Like, you are not free to tell the truth, but you are free to tell lies, right?
Like, we are all eager to know what only Twitter thinks will happen, and not what our common sense says will not.
This news-worthy thing is a trick bait. Sun rises in the west is news-worthy. Jack Dorsey has divined this. That’s why he is honourable, and not stupid, like us.
At least, that’s what he thinks.
If you get this, you can understand what he “likes”. And also why you can’t blame him for that.
You can’t blame him for thinking that the hashtag, ModiPlanningFarmerGenocide, is NOT INFLAMMATORY. Whoa.
No, that is showering peace and sunshine. You can imagine people exchanging sweets after re-tweeting and liking, ModiPlanningFarmerGenocide.
Oh, Reader Alert! Don’t read between the lines! For it may mean that the wishful thinking has come true!!
Well, reading the tweets, the handles and lines et al as they are, is that what Jack’s Twitter really intended?
Nah. For Jack Dorsey is an honourable man.
It may sound bizarre for all of us stupids, but all this lying and endorsing the lies thereof, are justified because they are in conformity with the rules governing the Twitter platform.
Rules sanctioning lies? Yeah. Exactly like sun rises in the west. There! Nothing more honourable than this!
Now, how come it is fair to block the account of the President of the United States with 88 million followers on the basis of info that Jack, The Twitter, had, but not block lies on the basis of the info that Twitter was teeming with, plus the info given by the Indian Government?
Well, he is Jack, The Twitter, a man of honour, you stupid.
